Willow Creek Farm

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Willow Creek Farm

Willow Creek Farm was once the property of William Boardman and his wife Mary, who arrived in New York from England in 1835. Homes for his daughters and their families also were built on the property. It is said to be haunted by former residents and Native Americans; witnesses have seen apparitions and shadow figures and heard unexplained noises.

  1. I visited the farm in early fall of 2013. While there we had many experiences. We heard what sounded like chanting with drums outside the first night. Early evening the next day, I saw a full-bodied apparition of a woman in her late twenties or early thirties wearing a long light blue dress with dark blond hair held back from her face with a white band, she looked to be from about the early 1800s. Later that night my flashlight went out as I was trying to go to my bedroom in the dark; once I got to the bedroom and turned on a light, the flashlight worked again and still works to this day with the same batteries in it. We heard doors closing and other noises we couldn’t explain. I have visited many places and have not been to any other location where I have had such profound experiences.

  2. I visited the farm with my paranormal group in May of 2014, and it was a life changing experience. The area is completely amazing and paranormal things began happening the minute we arrived at the farm. And it isn’t the type of normal paranormal occurences that investigatiors normally experience, there was no question that the things that happened were unique and authentic. The owner is one of the most genuine people I have ever met & the activity that I experienced and the energy felt at the farm is like nothing I have ever experienced before or since & I would do just about anything to be able to return to this magical place.

  3. I have been there twice now, both times very peaceful and relaxing yet punctuated with unexpected noises, little pranks while in bed, and I attended two VERY interesting events there where my belief in spirits and the fact that they are around you all the time and know all about you was very much enhanced. I saw and experienced some very wondrous things at the events and never at any time did I feel uncomfortable or worried about my safety. Al is an excellent host, and loves to share all the information he has on the property, buildings, nearby graveyard, and all about the “extended family” that lives in the house with him. It is important to note that while I do paranormal investigation, neither of my visits were formal investigations, even though I did bring a small amount of basic equipment along. I went there solely for the experience, relaxation, and to broaden my friendship with Al. Willow Creek is more about learning about the spiritual world and just letting it happen around you than it is about investigation, and knowing some of the spirits that reside there I would not expect them to actively participate in a formal investigation, but they will mess with you. Please contact Al for more information or visit the Farm’s website for more information before attempting to visit so you are not disappointed 🙂

  4. The farm is always a great place for an experience. Whether your a seasoned investigator or not there’s always something going on there. A great place to investigate. Get in contact with Al and experience it for yourself.

  5. Myself & my team were there in April (2016). It was very interesting. The owner, AL, has a ton of great stories he shares. A great place to visit, hear and learn of the history, and just let the events happen. No need to go looking, it comes to you! It truly is an Enlightenment, not an Investigation!

  6. I use to live in the shannon/lanark area. The locals know how haunted this place is & have said that many possessions have happened there to people who have angered the spirits. Please be careful, very heavy negative energy.
