The chambers are housed within a 1910 building, which was originally the town bank. Staff have reported hearing disembodied footsteps, ghostly voices and the sound of someone being dragged through an upstairs corridor. On the third floor, which hasn’t been used for decades according to staff, furniture moves around of its own accord and doors open and close by themselves. On the main staircase, the apparition of a shadowy man has allegedly been seen, and the basement is haunted by an unseen presence which has been known to push visitors around.
