This park contains an 18th-century burial site for the African-American community, and its ghost, a Quaker woman named Leah, is said to protect the site’s thousands of graves.

i’ve helped remove a few drunken frat boys and bums from here, never once saw a ghost.
All I can say is that, as a child, I often played in Washington Square, but I never saw any ghosts–even though I’ll admit to having felt a tad bit strange knowing that there were graves beneath me!
I was here this morning And I was messing around with my family members when’s I felt a tap on my shoulder… I asked them if they touched me but they all swore they didnt. As I wass telling the what happened my neck started to hurt like a pinch. I’ve been spooked all day and I don’t know if I can sleep…
