Built in 1927, the Von Minden Hotel is rumored to be haunted by at least two ghosts, perhaps stemming from two known deaths here. Long ago in Room 23, a railroad worker died of an illness in his sleep, and in Room 37 a WWII veteran jumped after finding that his girl had married someone else while he was at war. Also, a ghost called Ms. X is said to appear, wearing a polka-dot dress and asking for directions.
