This ghost town is now a tourist attraction, complete with resident haunts, according to reports. It is said that the town had a violent past, and once was the home of young Calamity Jane. At the costume shop, a little girl ghost has been seen sitting on the steps. In the opera house, a ghostly piano player can still be seen (and perhaps heard). At the Bonanza Inn, which was once a hospital, the spirit of a nun has been spotted. Ghost sightings have also occurred in the saloon.

While visiting in the basement of the museum in Virginia City Mt I stayed behind my family to use the restroom. When I came out, I felt a presence in the room. I walked around and nobody was there. I also saw something out of the corner of my eye on boot hill.
