This historic venue is rumoured to be haunted by the apparition of a little boy in antiquated clothes, who has been seen running across the main stage of the building during events. This spook has also been attributed to moving the curtains during performances, as well as bouncing a ball when the auditorium is empty for the night.

I stopped by one day to check the Veterans Hall in Hayward. It was on the weekend, no one was there and to my surprise one of the doors was open. Being a Iraq Veteran, retired 25 years in the service I felt very comfortable in the hall. I yeld a few times “hello” but no response. After reading some of the plagues and artifacts I decided to use the bathroom. Sitting there for sometime I heard the spring entry door open to the bathroom. Strange, wind? When I finished I checked the door for movement there was no way it could of moved by itself. It takes allot to get me riled up but right then the back of my hair on my neck stood straight up. I left the hall with a funny feeling.
