Numerous reports over the years of shadow figures roaming back stage and lights turning off on their own during events.
Electronic equipment failing for unknown reasons during events and then working normally after the show/event ended.
Reports of chairs moving in their own and banging noises from the balcony when building is empty, Reports of an apparition appearing in the middle section of the balcony when the balcony is closed, Sounds of someone walking half way down the stairs leading to the balcony and when someone investigates or looks up the stairway no one is there.
The Vergennes opera house and City Hall are in the same building and are located in downtown Vergennes Vermont on Main Street near the town square.

Where have these reports come from regarding the Vergennes Opera House? I have been involved in the restoration of the building since 1993 and have never heard any of these stories and u’ve Talked to a lot of people. I’d like to see or read the sources for these accounts. Thanks so much. Gerianne Smart.
