People have reported seeing apparitions in the mansion and having items moved around the building. The lights turn on and off at night. People report seeing strange lights from across the golf course moving around the house. Disembodied footsteps and strange laughter are heard on the fairways of the golf course, and strange noises are heard at the rear end of the course late at night. The golf course was previously a civil war battleground and a native burial ground. People have reported seeing the shadowy figures of those who died roaming the golf course late at night.

I was traveling home from work one night and wanted to take a picture to capture some orbs in front of the Manson entry way and capture a smoky image. when I stop to take the picture nothing was there but when I got the film develop wow I pick up a lot of activities. This occurred right at 1:05 or 1:07am in the morning on my way home from work this happen back in 2005 I do still have the picture and shares it from time to time. I’m at work and do not have the picture with me but hope to upload at home need to scan into my computer.
i would like to see the picture.
We were hired to photograph a wedding at Two Rivers a few years ago.I’m a professional photographer and have been photographing weddings full-time for over 12 years. When we arrived, we tried to set up a photo in the upstairs hallway in between the bride’s room and the groom’s area. I set up a studio light and a camera, and took a photo. However, the photo came back completely black. My assistant and I (thinking it was a technical malfunction) quickly decided to set up another light and camera. The photo still came back completely black. After checking lenses, lighting, cameras and all settings several times, we decided to retrieve another third camera and light. Still, no matter what we did …. the frame came back completely black. It basically defied all laws of physics. We finally gave up, and tried an available light photo (without our strobe). When we turned on the camera preview function a very strange thing occurred. On the bench, in the hallway, an outline of a figure appeared on our camera screen. You could not make out the face well, but the outline of a person was definitely there, looking right at us. Both my assistant and I witnessed it. It may have been one of the creepiest things I have ever seen. This location is most definitely haunted.
My brother and sister in law married there in 1995. I had no idea this place was haunted at the time. We were told to get ready in the rooms that each had adjoining bathrooms. I was in my assigned room and I felt strange like someone was watching me. So I went in to the restroom to check my makeup and hair and I look in the mirror and saw a flash of something move behind me. I was so creeped out I couldn’t wait for the wedding to be over with. I’ve never been back there. Of course I’ve passed by there many, many times because I live close by.
2008 My wife and myself stopped at the mansion it was a light rain and as I walked through the hedges in the front of the house , I could feel as if children ran right through me as they played. I now live in Manchester TN since 2011 and I have gotten EVP’s at the Shelbyville Civil War Cemetery telling me to die, and a Cemetery in Noah TN telling me to get off me. I want to return to 2 Rivers in the future and spend time with a recorder. I go to Stones River at the Slaughter Pen and my breathing gets difficult to catch my breath. I see shadow figures at the pen. I used to Work at the Ohio State Reformatory where I have had the same thing heaviness and could not breath. Ohio State is where Tango and Cash, The Shawshank Redemption and Air Force One was Filmed.
In 1972, during earthmoving for the golf course at Two Rivers, a significant number of prehistoric stone box burials of Mississippian period Native Americans were accidentally discovered by the heavy equipment. These burials dated back in time to about 1200 A.D. The human skeletal remains of these ancient Americans were found in the burials of this stone box cemetery, but very few artifacts had been buried with them. The municipal government moved the skeletal remains to The Parthenon for a loose and pretty dis respectful storage for a number of years, but they were eventually transferred to the Tennessee Division of Archaeology for final and much more respectful curation. Most people are not aware of the fact that these ancient human burials were found and disturbed there, but.I actually saw them under excavation on the gold course during its construction when I paid a late afternoon visit to the stone box cemetery in 1972—at the invitation of the amateur archaeologist who was excavating them at the request of the city government.
I hope this is the right picture…. note the hand coming out of the bushes…. there was no one else there with us when I took the photo.
