Witnesses have heard disembodied voices and footsteps at night and doors have been known to close by themselves. The piano in the main lobby plays by itself, although it is a regular instrument, not a player piano.
Reports say the inn may no longer be in operation.

Does anyone know if the abandoned house on RT 28 on ossipee NH right hand side heading to wolfboro is haunted
I’ve talked to the guy that used to own the place. He said the place was terrifying and urged people to never go in there. He lived there for 6 months before just leaving everything and selling the place. Sadly it was torn down this summer (2022). The new owner completely leveled the house and outbuildings. Not sure if they plan on doing anything with the property though as it hasn’t been touched since. It’s currently marked as “Private” and “No Trespassing” so I haven’t wandered the empty lot to see if there is anything still there other than a big pile of dirt.
The Inn is permanently closed. It was sold, I want to say in 2018 or 2019 and is now a private residence.
