You may see a ghostly woman in dark blue 19th-century clothing at this park, especially near her favorite willow tree. She is said to be seen mostly when music is being performed in the park. Other apparations may be seen here, and the sound of someone calling your name or following close behind you.

This is very true. My group of 6 went here and did this while playing tip toeing through the meadow. a woman appeared next to the willow tree. a lantern came out of the woods, swaying and flickering. when leaving, there was a figure in the middle of the road. this is true
I am not sure about the woman’s apparition because I did not experience that, but a group of my friends went out there one evening and we had the feeling of being watched the whole time. Obviously Trollwood is creepy at night to begin with but this was a different feeling. We had a video camera and a voice recorder as well. We got home and reviewed the audio recordings and had actually captured an EVP. It sounded like a man saying “Get off my property”. I don’t know what the history of Trollwood was before it was a performing arts facility but that creeped me out enough to never dabble with the paranormal again.
I went there last summer with my brother and my bestfriend. It was dark and we were walking on the path next to the river when all the sudden we heard huge rocks being thrown into the water. My friend and I screamed so my brother went down twords the water to see who was throwing rocks into the river, nobody was there and we saw no splashing even though we could still hear it.
I work Park Security for the Fargo Park District so I close all the buildings and bathrooms at night. I have had my name being called and have heard voices talking. one night I was closing the Art Mart and a black mass started walking fast towards me. so a week later I decided to go to the park and start doing EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). My girlfriend was in the building and I was standing outside. and I told her that your not suppose to leave people alone during an investigation just incase something happens and a voice was recorded saying “come here”. A while later we were sitting on the table and I had my ghost box on and Nikki (My Girlfriend) said she didn’t want to be here anymore and a voice came through the box saying “I talked to the lady”. Also another night when I was closing the park down there was a lantern free floating in the woods. I drove up as close as I could and there was no one there it was just a lantern. I believe there is something there that wants to be noticed.
Interesting. Did the black mass you described feel evil or what did you do when it started walking fast towards you? I was just there today (in the daytime) walking around all over and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. I looked for the “County Cemetery” #2 stone under the willow tree but couldn’t find it.
take the path on the right side of the park and walk up to the Willow Tree. (The tree with the long hanging green leaves.) When you get to the Willow tree, there will be a large brown rock the size of a wagon with the words Cass County Cemetary #2 engraved on the rock. That is one of the 3 cemeteries where poor sick people where buried at one time. People who work for the City Of Fargo believe that not all of the Graves were dug up. It would be fun, interesting, and enjoyable if every kid didn’t go there. Every night I go there there’s always a bunch of loud kids that think they are Zack Beggans.
My friends and I went here around 10:30 at night and we were just sitting in the car and we all got out and the hazards went on but no horn for no reason. Then we were just walking around and we all had a really bad feeling like being watched. I also could’ve sworn I heard a male mumbling voice or something. I believe that Trollwood is haunted.
I believe it really is because in the little stream thing at the opening with the large door like thing me and some friends went in there and one of them said that they saw someone down there.
I have gone to Trollwood several times at various times of night and day. I have video of my mother and oldest daughter (64 and 20) pushing children on a swing, but the swings are empty.
From ghost boxes to pendulums I have had things speak or make their presence known in some form or other. It is most definitely haunted!
