The Rapids Theater, built in 1921, is believed to be haunted by the ghost of an actress who committed suicide here long ago. Among the many paranormal occurrences here are apparitions on the stage, a woman’s voice, whistling, the clicking of high heels, doors that open and close on their own and unexplained lights and noises. The site has been featured on an episode of TV’s Ghost Hunters.
