This 1769 resort is said to be haunted by Abraham Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. She visited the hotel in 1865 and has been seen as a quickly vanishing apparition, along with one of her children.

I worked at the Equinox and one night I was on the 3rd floor I had went to leave the room I had just cleaned and as I opened the door something dissipated right in front of my face! It was bright, white dots just scattering away from what it looked like to be a person figure. They say Mary stayed on the 3rd floor and I believe it was her since she is seen as a “quickly vanishing apparition”. Then either the same night or another, I encountered Mary’s son. I walked past the staircase that lead down to the lobby floor and caught a boy sitting staring at me through the posts on the stair case out of the corner of my eye. I stopped, backed up and looked where I thought I had seen him and he was no longer there! This hotel is haunted, but it is not bad entities they are harmless!
We were in 321 at the equinox hotel – it’s the third floor of the south wing. I woke up to ice the bathroom in the middle of the night. As I was sitting in the bathroom with the door open, I saw a woman. It took a moment to register what it was, and then the lights went out! I jumped up and turned them back on and hid in bed and felt unsettled the rest of the night. I couldn’t really sleep.
I used to work at the Equinox. There are many more hauntings besides Mary Todd Lincoln.
My Daughter and I stayed there for Mother’s Day in 2022. What a disappointment with the thin walls, low quality food, chipped – damage furniture and poor parking. Only thing scary was the bill
