The 1941 Strand Theatre is home to some odd occurrences. Footsteps have been heard in the empty balcony, and during a production of Ghosts of the Coast, based on local ghost tales, the staff began to witness cold spots and whispers coming from the backstage area. A ghost hunter was summoned, and he advised that cast that the hauntings were a result of a part of the show that included a hoodoo spell. Although the whispers and cold spots have now gone away, the footsteps in the balcony are said to continue.
