Stanwood Hotel and Saloon

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  Stanwood Hotel and Saloon

I lived there for a few years just a few houses down the road from it and worked directly across the street at my fathers restaurant which people also said was “haunted” we even had kids from the local school come ask us questions because it was apparently stanwoods 1st general store. The hotel & saloon was also built at the same time and any staff member you ask will gladly tell you of there experiences. Also the first mayors house is just a few doors down and my house was 2 doors from that, I had several horrifying experiences there before deciding there was NO WAY I could continue to live there and after nearly 2 years informed the man that I was “renting to own” the house from that I would be leaving, immediately. That whole set of buildings along that road have a certain “feeling” to it and at least one ghost story a piece. You should definitely check it out!

  1. My dad lived in a room upstairs for a couple of years when I was around 4 (28) years ago, he worked right across the street as did my brother and I for decades, a coworker and his wife owned it for a number of years…. It’s not haunted.
