There’s a song based on this road called “A Tombstone Every Mile”; it about sums up the tragedy that has occurred here. A woman is commonly seen begging for people to stop, screaming that her husband is trapped in the carnage of what was once their vehicle. She vanishes when on-lookers are too close. Another ghost of a little girl killed by a semi is seen.

So a couple of friends and I went to Bangor. And now we were on Military Rd. heading back to fort Fairfield where we are from. We just witnessed a female standing in the middle of the road and as we got closer she disappeared.
