  1. Stayed at the Riverside on 5/27 – 5/28/16 and heard strange footsteps in the room on the hardwood floors. Also had someone knock on the door at 8 pm and no-one was in the hallway. Loved the hotel (have stayed there before) and didn’t think too much of the experiences until we read about the possibility of hauntings there!

    • If you’re talking about the former Indian Shutters Restaurant, it is now owned by a gentleman who says it is NOT haunted. There are more hauntings in Charlestown, NH than currently reported. Forest Hill Cemetery is said to be haunted by a mother and child

  2. This comment is Not about the Hotel. And I Am Not An expert. If your from Keene NH.Or know anything about it. I lived at Harmony Lane in Keene. I used to hear Footsteps upstairs in the Apt. Never really thought anything about it then A guy who lived in the next building, Said. He saw A middle aged man in front of his bed. Then walked into the wall. The man was Wearing A Civil War uniform with A Hat with 2 riffles crossed. Then Another friend said. His House was Haunted. Also in Keene. After doing A little Investigation about the History of Keene. I was Amazed at what I found. Harmony Lane was A Battle ground for the Civil war. I have learned So much more. If you Know Any Thayers. Tell them to look up the History. Because. Their RICH!
