Point Iroquois Lighthouse

You are here Home  > Lighthouses >  Point Iroquois Lighthouse

A great Indian battle was held on the land where the Point Iroquois Lighthouse now stands, and a shadowy apparition seen here is thought to be a victim of that battle. Also, the ghost of a little girl has been seen on the grounds, believed to be one who was killed by a bear nearby.

  1. I have seen a Native American in full buckskin pants and the beaded chest piece one evening while attempting to watch a meteor shower. At first it was just from the chest down but as he walked passed us, the rest of his body materialized. Then he was gone. I was the only one who saw him but we left shortly after.

  2. When I was a teenager we visited this light house. My little brother and I went to the top of the light house and felt really creepy. So we didn’t stay more then a second before we started heading back down. My brother was in front of me when he fell and grabbed the center rail. He said I pushed him and I didn’t, but they way he fell definitely looked like he was pushed. We were both crying when we reached the bottom and my dad asked if the person he saw up in the window saw it and helped us. There was no one in the light house with us at the time. Sounds silly when I type it out, but then the next day my mom and dad took us back to walk the shoreline and I got locked in the “bathroom” for several minutes before it finally just unlocked. Super creepy so I was hoping to find that more people had weird experiences.

I live 2 miles away from here and have been there dozens of times… Never had a supernatural experience or felt any creepy vibes at all.
Now, Mission Hill (which is nearby) is pretty dang creepy, especially at night đŸ™‚

Only time Mission Hill is Creepy is after the Pow Wow, when down state family can be found in random spots at all times through out the day and night paying respects.t
