The 1910 Fitzgerald Theater is reportedly haunted by Ben, thought to be a former stagehand, and Veronica, a former actress. During a restoration in 1985, workers removed a false ceiling and discovered a second balcony, on which was a note written to Ben. Since then, a male apparition has been seen, and workers’ tools have been found moved. Veronica’s singing has been heard in the auditorium.

Minneapolis City Hall
The turn-of-the-century Minneapolis City Hall building is said to be haunted by John Moshik. In 1898, he was convicted of murder and his hanging was botched, forcing him to endure 3 minutes of slow strangulation. As a result, no more hangings occurred here. Now, folks have seen his apparition or shadow throughout that floor (the fifth) as well as hearing noises and footsteps.
Temple Heights Mansion
Temple Heights Mansion was built in 1837 by General Richard T. Brownrigg and changed owners several times until retired Methodist minister named J.H. Kennebrew moved in with his wife and five children: Daisy, Laura, Jessie, Ruth and Elizabeth. It is Elizabeth who is said to haunt the house now. Her apparition has been seen and strange sounds have been heard, like breaking glass, murmured voices and crashes.
Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park - USS The Sullivans
Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park includes the ship USS The Sullivans, named after five brothers, Albert, Francis, George, Joseph and Madison, who were lost during the battle of Guadalcanal in 1942. The USS The Sullivans is believed to be haunted by George Sullivan.
La Placita Dining Rooms
La Placita Dining Rooms is a restaurant serving New Mexico cuisine housed in an 1880 building originally known as Casa Armijo. La Placita Dining Rooms was established in 1935 and is rumored to be haunted by at least four ghosts, especially in the women’s restroom and the upstairs area. The apparition of a young girl appears in the mirrors of the women’s restroom, once part of her bedroom. She is believed to have died here in the late 1880s. A misty apparition, cold spots, and names whispered into employees’ ears also have been reported.
USCGC Taney
Investigated by TV’s Ghost Hunters, the U.S. Coast Guard ship Taney is the only surviving combat ship from Pearl Harbor, and it was attacked 119 times by kamikaze pilots during World War II. It is said to be haunted by former crewman whose apparitions are seen and footsteps and voices are heard on board at the ship museum. Voices have been heard over the ship’s PA, which is no longer in operation.
David Whitney House - The Whitney
The Whitney, now a restaurant, was built in 1890 by lumber magnate Whitney Jr. Witnesses have seen an apparition that disappeared into the floor and shadows near the children’s room. Objects also have bene known to move, and lights turn on and off by themselves.
Congress Theater
Congress Theater is said to be haunted by many entities. Witnesses have seen an apparition of a woman and shadow figures and they’ve heard disembodied footsteps and strange noises.
Jack's Gourmet Restaurant and Bar
Jack’s Gourmet Restaurant and Bar, housed in an 1800s building that was once a rowdy saloon, is believed to be haunted by Sarah, a woman who died on the premises long ago.
Linden Bed and Breakfast
The 1700s Linden Bed and Breakfast is believed to be haunted by a phantom horse-drawn buggy in the drive and the sound of the tapping of a cane in the west gallery. Apparitions of a man in a top hat have been seen in a child’s bedroom, and a woman in the east wing jumps from the edge of the roof, disappearing before she hits the ground.
