Carson City Mint - Nevada State Museum

Carson City Mint – Nevada State Museum is a site believed to be haunted by spirits from its past. The mint opened in 1869, and in 1872, a worker named Osborne Parker was crushed to death in the basement when equipment fell on him. And Abraham Curry, a mint superintendent who died in 1873, also is believed to linger here in spirit. Witnesses report footsteps, an elevator that works by itself, and a friendly presence.

Warbonnet Creek Battlefield Site

The Warbonnet Creek Battlefield Site is believed to be haunted by a spirits from its past. Visitors have heard footsteps running through the woods and voices that speak in strange languages, most likely Cheyenne. A green glowing mist has been seen by many visitors near the monument that marks the battle.

Alliance Theatre

The Alliance Theater formerly the 1903 Charter Hotel, is said to be haunted by shadowy figures. Folks also have reported footsteps that run down the aisles and uneasy feelings, although the haunts here are said to be friendly.

Fairweather Inn

Fairweather Inn, formerly the 1800s Anaconda Hotel and Saloon, is said to be home to some ghostly children. Rumor has it that the ghost children visit guests who are staying on the first floor with their children. Witnesses also describe footsteps, whispers, the rustling of old-fashioned dresses, and doors that open and close on their own. Room 10 is reportedly popular with the spirit set.

Conrad Mansion Museum

The 1895 Conrad Mansion Museum is haunted, say those in the know. The ghosts here are Charles Conrad himself, who died in 1902 in his bedroom, and his wife Lettie, who died in the same bed in 1923. Other spirits are thought to linger here as well, and witnesses have reported all manner of ghostly activity.

Myrna Loy Center

The Myrna Loy Center for Performing Arts is believed to be haunted by spirits from its past. That’s because in its past, the building was the Lewis and Clark County Jail. Especially haunted, some say, is the basement, where the solitary confinement inmates were kept.

Daly Mansion

At the Daly Mansion, which is believed to be haunted, witnesses have seen apparitions, heard unexplained noises and more.

Beacon Ice House

Beacon Ice House is a bar, casino and night club that is rumored to be haunted. Witnesses say the lights turn on and off by themselves, doors open and close on their own, and the restrooms and basements are popular spots for the spirits set to make themselves known.

World Museum of Mining

The World Museum of Mining was built on the Orphan Girl Mine, and offers underground tours. It is said to be haunted by an apparition wearing a yellow slicker.

Western Heritage Center

The Western Heritage Center is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of a child named Priscilla whose footprints have been seen in the attic, an elderly man who sits near the fireplace in the basement, and an elderly woman who haunts the first floor and the Will James Room.
