The circa-1871 Holy Sepulchre Cemetery’s claim to fame is that it’s where Jack the Ripper suspect Francis Tumblety is buried. Witnesses say they have seen dark shadow women about the grounds, as well as plaintive white figures in the children’s area.

Local legend tells of a husband who shot his wife here years ago. Some say her ghost appears occasionally, and uneasy feelings have been described by witnesses who were alone in the place.
St Agnes Cemetery
Not much detail on this one, just that some visitors have seen the ghost of a woman hovering around the cemetery late at night.
Old General Electric Building
Maintenance workers in the now empty building that once house General Electric on Broad Street swear the place is haunted. Some have seen shadow figures and felt cold spots.
Woodlawn Cemetery
Strange sounds are heard, EVPs captured, and a glowing white ghost sometimes appears to be chasing you as you explore the cemetery at night.
Sterling Road
A long, winding road which local kids swear is haunted. Often if you pull over in the middle of the night you’ll hear disembodied screams off in the distance. Some ghost hunters have caught strange objects in photographs and weird EVPs here.
Stillwater Union Cemetery
Another cemetery where visitors swear they regularly see a green, glowing light hovering around certain gravestones.
Saint John Cemetery
St. John Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in New York State, and is the final resting place of several famous people, including Geraldine Ferraro, Lucky Luciano and John Gotti. Some also say its home to a few not-so-restful spirits. Visitors frequently complain about strange sounds coming from areas of the cemetery that are clearly uninhabited, as well as cold spots throughout the area.
Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery
Another cemetery with vague reports of hauntings, but very little in the way of detail is available.
Riverside Cemetery
There is a good-sized pond near the back of this cemetery, where locals claim to see the ghost of a little boy who allegedly drowned there some many years ago.
