Mysterious sightings near the Lakeview Station area are of a floating bluish-white light in the shape of an elderly man who walks (or floats) across the tracks or in front of houses. He then disappears. Some claim to have seen the apparition inside their house, which has frightened some family dogs. Other witnesses have described a disembodied voice whispering “Come here.”

Guptills Woods
Guptills Woods, and a certain nearby house off Pollock Road, are rumored to be haunted. Witnesses have seen floating orbs of light as well as strange eyes, with no face, in the dark. The sound of singing has accompanied some of these ghostly incidents.
Clinton Community Library
Those looking for a book to read at the Clinton Community Library may just find a ghost story. Ghosts are said to haunt the library day and night, whispering or knocking books down from the shelves. Their footsteps have been heard walking or climbing the stairs.
Oxford Depot Cemetery
Among the many odd occurrences reported at Oxford Depot Cemetery are orbs of light, dark figures that may give chase, the sound of someone unseen whistling, and footsteps coming from behind visitors. Some orbs have shown up in photographs of the cemetery.
Wolfe's Pond Park
Wolfe’s Pond Park, according to some, is haunted by the ghosts of two teens who perished in a nearby car crash. Local legend says the teens can be seen along the park paths at around 2 a.m., often calling for their parents.
North Lake Road
North Lake Road is known for being the route taken by British soldiers after their retreat from the siege of Fort Stanwix. It is said that on some misty mornings the retreat scene is played out in a ghostly retelling, accompanied by moans of wounded soldiers and creaks of wagon wheels.
Starin Place
Starin Place is the mansion and grounds formerly owned by U.S. Representative of New York John Henry Starin (1825–1909), who, from 1848 to 1852 was Fultonville’s postmaster. Folks at the historic museum site describe unexplained noises, movement and shadows around the grounds and in the guests’ and servants’ quarters.
Downing Park
A little boy’s ghost has been seen sitting by Downing Park’s lake, crying. Locals say he drowned here long ago. He also has been known to make bubbles in the water and scream when a child gets too close to the water’s edge.
Niagara University - Clet Hall
Niagara University’s Clet Hall was the first building constructed after its founding as a seminary in 1860. An 1864 fire killed student Thomas Hopkins, who was said to be seen pleading for help from an upper-story window before he died. Now, his ghost is said to roam the halls of his former home opening doors and turning on lights or water faucets.
Iceland
At the Iceland ice-skating rink, ghostly beings are said to cause doors to open and close by themselves and hockey pucks to appear on the rink late at night. Witnesses have seen the apparition of a man in a baseball cap in the scoreboard operations room.
