The former manager, George, hung himself after he found out he was in dire straits financially. He is reported here as is the smell of tobacco and the feeling of someone your shoulder. A woman in white has also been seen.

In the Oak Room, a man who is thought to be the former ‘Lord of the Manor’ is seen. Two females are reported: the first is a little girl who occupies the garden and one of the bedrooms, the second is a woman in the bar and drawing room. She is said to throw pictures off of the wall when upset.

Llandaff itself is said to be an unusually active suicide spot. Some of the ghosts wander around this place in the form of shadows. Ghostly monks, soldiers, and children have also been seen.

Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart died tragically in battle during World War I; he is said to be here, generally more often near election nights. The museum architect, Dunbar Smith, had his ashes interred here, but due to renovations, the remains were moved. Smith now haunts the corridors and causes a calamity. EVPs pick up his voice quite often.

A lady in white is seen here, thought to be the wife of the Third Marquis of Bute; however, her spirit has supposedly been reported before her time. Some believe it is a woman who is looking for her child.

Items in the stockroom and heavy furniture have moved on their own. The Second Marquis of Bute died here and is seen in the chapel wearing a red coat. The apparition of his wife, Sophia, has been seen floating on the castle grounds.

A headless woman has been reported here, last seen in 1976. Assassination, devastation, and tragedy was ripe here in the past; some other entities might be here as well.

Photographs and EVPs have capture proof of someone not present (in human form at least). Sleeping guests have been awoken by the sensation of someone sitting at the edge of their beds. Doors close by themselves, some objects swing around, and other loose objects have moved around by themselves.

Former occupant, Captain Edward Purvis is said to remain here. Sometimes he is seen throughout here; an investigation or two won’t hurt to find out if he’s alone or not.
