This building was constructed in 1905 for the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition. It was originally a grand hotel, but now is an apartment complex. Those living in the apartments have reported sighting various apparition’s, and feeling an intimidating presence on the lower floor. The feeling is less intimidating on the upper level.
At night, you can hear people running downstairs and doors opening and closing, but there is no on there. Apparition’s run out of the building and chase people away, but when they turn around, there is no one behind them. A dog can be heard barking inside the bank, but it is never seen. Apparition’s walk up to people in the building, then vanish. A woman in 1920’s style clothing has been seen flushing the toilet’s and turning the taps on and off at night. In the early hours of morning, after the bank has closed down for the night, suddenly all the lights turn on and a shadowy figure can be seen looking out of a window on the top floor.
Doors slamming and running footsteps in the women’s restroom of this small restaurant. The ghost of a woman in a white dress has also been seen in the restroom. It is believed she was the wife of the former owner, who killed her.
There are two, maybe three ghosts that haunt the apartment block on North Albina Avenue. Phenomenon includes knocking noises on doors when there’s no on around late at night, rattling mailboxes and the sighting’s of the apparition’s of two old men in the corridor’s of the apartment. Apartment 101 also has objects and furniture moved around, strange whispering noises and mysterious telephone calls.
The house was built between 1852 and 1856 by Charles Applegate. The ghost of him, his wife and several of their fifteen children haunt the upper level of the house, while the apparitions of a man in baggy pants and a lady in white haunt the parlour room on the ground floor.
This house was the first residence of the Columbus mayor back when it was built in 1833. The has been restored, and is now a bed and breakfast. Guests have reported strange occurrences here, such as he apparition of a lady in a white dress and a hovering cloud that moves around the parlour room.
This bar is to be featured on an upcoming episode of the Discovery Channel series, “American Haunting.” The basement appears to be where a lot of the activity occurs. The “Ghosts of New England Research Society” claims to have captured EVPs and possibly even a spectral image of a woman during an investigation of the premises.
During the daylight hours, apparitions have been caught on photo. During the night, the sounds of people conversing can be heard. Children can be heard playing at night. This place is filled with the bodies of orphaned children. Their graves state “baby” or the child’s first name only.
A woman told me that a female spirit once flowed beside her cackling through the fence as she walked past the cemetery on Valley Blvd. She could hear talking and banging on the walls through the backside of the shed which is also on Valley blvd.
I have caught many EVPs and paranormal photos here.
I believe this place to be haunted. Everything within a few blocks is built on top of unmarked graves. The bodies are still there. These were Pioneers of the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles.
There have been sightings of small grey apparitions running around at night. They have been known to attack people. Hologram People have also been seen by me. I have also recorded many EVPs. Winged apparitions were caught on video behind a tombstone of a gargoyle. I also have video of orbs moving in and out of that Gargoyle tombstone. There is also a tall winged creature that walks down the driveway. This has been witnessed by a few people.
On the Southwest corner a couple years ago, a memorial stood for a Motorcycle crash. A young man died in this crash. We went to this corner with all of our gear and caught a few images of what appeared to be apparitions walking and standing on the corner by the candles left behind by mourners. The best photo is submitted below. It’s of somebody standing under the light post staring right at the camera. There was nobody there that could be seen by the naked eye. The K2 meters went off a few times. The Dowsing rods pointed to that corner too.
