This Whole House is a tearoom that’s rumored to be haunted by a ghost named Mary Helen. The building dates as far back as 1875 and was once, allegedly, a brothel. Paranormal activity includes the sound of breaking dishes in the kitchen and objects being moved by unseen hands. Also, some folks have found themselves feeling dizzy in the establishment.

Majdecki Piggly Wiggly
Piggly Wiggly, formerly a Sentry grocery, has a ghost who has been heard whistling in the aisles and the back room. It has also been reported that food disappears and toys have been played with at night, and the laughter of invisible children can be heard. Some blame the activity on the fact that the store was built atop a graveyard.
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
There are several spots rumored to cause the hairs on the back of your neck to go up at the University of Wisconsin. One is the Center of the Arts, where apparitions have been spotted, unexplained hammering comes from the metal lab at night and chairs move across the room. In the Delta Zeta House, the sound of someone walking down the creaky staircase has occurred, and in Clem Hall, bathroom stall doors slam, apparitions show up, and invisible folks talk and laugh or run down the halls. At Fricker Hall you may come across the apparition of a deceased student in the basement, and at Knilans Hall, a ghost librarian has been known to helpfully open doors and elevators for the living.
Grand Theater
Grand Theater began in 1928, and is the site of many an unexplained noise or sight. The ghost in residence, according to eyewitnesses of apparitions, is a former theater manager who passed away more than a decade ago but apparently wasn’t ready to quit his job.
Simpson's Restaurant
The eatery dates back to 1932, and some folks, both staff members and customers, have reported seeing the apparitions of what appear to be members of a family inside the premises. The ghosts are said to be friendly and quiet.
Tichigan Lake Inn - What About Linda's
Formerly the Tichigan Lake Inn and now called What About Linda’s?, the restaurant and bar was once a Speakeasy originally built in the 1920s and is known to be haunted by a poltergeist. Glasses fly across the room and crash to the floor, beer taps turn on all at once, appliances start up on their own, bells ring, and footsteps can be heard upstairs. The apparition of a deceased regular also has been spotted.
Prospect Church
According to local legend, on moonlit nights at Prospect Church, those who park in the last parking space on the right side of the church and peer at the last window on the second story will see a ghost who moves the curtains violently as if in a struggle inside.
Graves near Lincoln Village
According to local tales, an overgrown and haunted graveyard stands adjacent to the abandoned Lincoln Village apartment complex, in the wooded area at the northwest corner of the complex. Caution: The graves are sunken and the ground is soft; graves here may be deep.
Coker College
At Coker College, a private liberal arts school founded in 1908, a ghostly girl is said to roam in a dorm building. The ghost also is said to cause strange sounds, turn off radios and make alarm clocks ring in the middle of the night. According to campus legend, she hanged herself in an elevator shaft that has since been transformed into a stairwell.
Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery
Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery is an old graveyard where folks say disembodied singing is heard, white mists or figures materialize, and blue spots are said to appear in the house adjacent.
