Club Thirteen Bar

This historic 1880’s building was refurbished in the early 1930’s, and was a former beer hall and bordello. All paranormal activity noted in the building has taken places in the second floor pool room. One of the original rooms of the 1880’s building. The aroma of perfume has been smelt, and women’s voices and laughter has been heard. Staff have heard disembodied footsteps hear, and seen shadowy figure watching them during the late night shifts.

Klondike Bar Restaurant and Casino

This late nineteenth century former bordello is home to at least three spirits. The first is a ghostly prostitute, who passed away on the second floor of the building during the early 1900’s. She has been seen floating around the second floor in a white gown. Patrons and staff have sighted a shadowy apparition running through the bar area, before disappearing. The third apparition is a pair of disembodied cowboy boots that have been sighted walking down the stairs before vanishing. The casino machines often go haywire, and objects are moved around by themselves. An overwhelming sad presence is felt in the building.

The Historic Hotel Metlen

This historic hotel and casino is once again for sale, but was a former saloon and luxury hotel for travelers on the railroad across Montana. Room #19 and the downstairs bar area are haunted by the apparition of a floating woman in a white dress, who is kind to patrons and staff alike. In the back bar of the historic hotel, the apparition of a woman in a black bonnet has been seen, along with the apparition of a man in a cowboy hat. On the third floor of the hotel, strange voices have been heard and cigar smoke has been smelt when there is no one around.

Breakers Mansion

The Renaissance style mansion was built in 1895 after a fire destroyed the manor house of Cornelius and Alice Vanderbilt, the latter of whom is believed to still haunt the house museum. Staff and visitors to the building have reported sighting her apparition on various levels of the building, and also report the feeling of being watched.

Pilgrim House Inn

The bed and breakfast was built in the late eighteenth century, and has been an inn since the early 1800’s. The apparition of a young girl has been seen staring down from rooms into the street, and has been known to appear to guests in Room #8 and Room #11. Ghostly laughter and music are also heard in the bed and breakfast late at night by guests when there is no one around.

Redwood Library and Athenauem

Founded in 1747, it is the oldest community library still occupying its original building in the United States. A male entity has been sighted by staff wandering around the library during the evening, and people report that the eyes in the paintings on the walls follow them as they move around the room.

Osceola Inn

The historic inn is haunted by several apparitions. The first is a ghostly face that has been staring into guests rooms from outside the inn, only to vanish when approached. A ghostly woman in white has been seen in the bar area of the hotel, and has also been seen walking through the hotel lobby. The apparition of a woman in a dress has been seen on the second floor, along with spirit of a gambler who committed suicide in his hotel room.

St. Cecilia Music Center

Security guards working night shifts in the centre have reported that when the leave a room and return later, that all the chairs will have been moved around. A female voice is heard in the ballroom, and many people have sighted a shadowy apparition rushing across the stage before vanishing.

Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant

The 1911 hotel and restaurant is haunted by at least three apparitions. The first is that of a ghostly lady in white, who has been seen wandering the hallways of the inn and in some cases, has appeared in guests rooms. The second apparition is that of a man in a tweed suit who has been seen looking over the balcony at the front of the hotel. When he is seen, he vanishes suddenly. The third apparition is a ghostly youth who haunts the basement of the hotel. Voices and disembodied footsteps are heard in the hotel when no one is around.

Doherty Hotel

The hotel was a notorious hangout for gangsters in the 1920’s and 1930’s, and was also the scene of many murders, as well as front for an illegal gambling parlour. Loud knocking noises have been heard in the lobby when there is no one around, and the aroma of perfume is smelt. People have reported seeing shadowy apparitions, and having their doors unlocked and opened during the night by an unseen force.
