Hector is the name the staff members have given to the ghost who haunts Dixie Lee Restaurant. His apparition has been spotted inside the restaurant, and he isn’t rumored to be the quiet type–Hector has been known to make a lot of noise.

Mirror Lake at Ohio State University has a couple of ghosts. One is a student who drowned there in the 1960s, and is sometimes heard splashing and screaming. The other is a jogger who was killed nearby. The jogger apparition creates a cold breeze as he runs and keeps peering backward over his shoulder.

At Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery there is a weeping Lady in Gray who visits, leaving flowers on a soldier’s grave. She wears a Civil War-era gray suit and has been heard crying.
Variety Theater
1927 building The Variety Theater was a vaudeville house, then a movie theater until the early 1980s. After that, it was a rock concert venue until it closed in 1986. Now, locals say, it’s haunted by a white figure who hangs out on first floor by the water fountain. A man’s spirit also lingers here, peering from the upper balcony with red eyes. Noises of phantom workers can be heard on the stage as well. One of the ghosts is believed to be a man who fell to his death from the lighting scaffold.
Hamlin Hall
Hamlin Hall has a haunt. Who is he? The apparition and cold spots that appear and disappear around a stairwell are said to belong to a young man who passed away inside the building.
Crump Theatre
The 1874 Crump Theatre , once a vaudeville and opera house, is home to some spooky goings-on. Ghost men and children have been seen along with unexplained noises and fragrances. Music has been heard coming from the top of a stairway. Reports say the building is no longer open to the public.
Cloverdale Cemetery
The 1800s Cloverdale Cemetery is rumored to have the graves of seven beautiful witch sisters. Many urban legends center on the sisters, such as that those who walk around their graves seven times by the light of a full moon would awaken the sisters’ ghosts, which would chase them away. Witnesses also have reported orbs that seem to follow them.
Restoration Lutheran Church
At Restoration Lutheran Church, witnesses say, you may hear ghostly footsteps on the stairs, see apparitions of faces in mirrors, and hear strange scratching sounds. You might detect hot and cold spots and see tall, dark figures that may even toss chairs at you.
Quality Machine and Tool Works
Quality Machine and Tool Works is rumored to be home to the ghost of a former employee who hanged himself because of an unrequited love. Shadowy apparitions and disappearing objects are blamed on the ghost.
Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre
The Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre is home to specters who move objects in the prop room, create icy breezes, and grab the living by the shoulder. Rumor has it that the ghost is a former theater owner.
