Princeton Cemetery

I have personally have been down to my local cemetery and experienced so pretty heart pounding stuff. I have played Ouija there, email me for info about that. But I have heard voices and footsteps and on one occasion, I saw kind of like a face or something out of the corner of my eye. And when I looked in that direction, it went away. Scary right? It’s not known AT ALL for being haunted as my town is really small and the cemetery is small, there is also one in McKinney TX

The Blackness

We investigated this location, not expecting anything and it is very haunted. Its a haunted venue that actually has spirits. One attacked two investigators. A young girl named rose is trapped inside, also Emmit, a worker from years past. The place was a fruit and vegetable warehouse in earlier times, before that history is sketchy. We think there is a portal.

Central Park Aquatics Center

Having worked at Central Park Aquatics for almost a year now, I and any of the other employees can tell you, hands down, this place is haunted. We hear voices when the building is empty, things move around, and we hear our diving blocks being adjusted. I’ve worked here for over a year, and we’ve begun to inform people as the begin working about the happenings here to adjust them.

The Haintin' Holler

As it’s called by locals “The Haintin; Holler” is located on HWY 3115, about 1/4 mile past the Gray Gap Road you will enter this area. It runs from there to about 1/4 mile from the end of Turner Branch Road. Turner Branch Road comes to a dead end with plenty of room to turn around. Though some accounts have placed “Big White Thangs” as far back as the creek at the beginning of HWY 3115 which is not far from the HWY 90 turn off to HWY 3115.

I’ve personally never seen a ghost there but I’ve had family members that reported on the history of the area. In the “Haintin’ Holler” a headless horseman has been reported, a trapper leading a horse with an Indian squaw,as well as odd lights from time to time, similar to the “Marfa lights” in Texas. And my personal interest was the “White Thangs” or “Polar Bears” story by my Grandfather’s brother David Turner. My Grandfather never saw anything odd but he did sleep in an abandoned house there once and something kept pulling his quilt off him in the middle of the night as he tried to sleep.

My particular interest in this area was from the story of the “White Thangs” near the creek. I am a Bigfoot researcher and there are some reports of white colored Bigfoot sightings from the area. I’ve not seen one there but those are the reports of others that claim they have.

It may be coincidence, but when I took my friend to the area, the temperature dropped about 10 degrees F when we enter the “Haintin’ Holler” and on our way out of it, the temp rose to the previous level. I’m not convinced this was “ghostly” related, but to a skeptic such as myself, it certainly was odd.

Barossa Valley - Seppelts Winery

Built in the early 1800’s by Oscar Benno Seppelt, who is said to have turned slightly insane after spending years in his private retreat, located behind the trophy cellar. Feelings or being watched & the sounds of footsteps are always heard. It is said that lights ion the lower levels will not turn on after 7pm. The ghostly apparition of a maid has been seen in the tunnels & homestead. Screaming has been heard from the distillery & cellars at night with also a glow. The vinegar factory has the sounds of machinery working & steam blasts, even though the factory has not worked for nearly 150 years! Moans & whispering have been heard in the dining hall.

Deep Creek Vintage

The former plantation manor housing the store was built about 1750 and enlarged until the 1860s. Its ghosts, of which there are many, have been heard and seen.

Typical activity includes footsteps, knocking, soft voices and singing, and people (especially women with long hair) being touched. More rarely, objects move and full bodied apparitions have been observed. Nothing dangerously negative has been reported, though teenage males occasionally report feeling extremely uncomfortable in one upstairs room. Some ghosts there appreciate the effort made by investigators to encounter them, and will attempt to interact with investigators by knocking back to knocks made on walls and by giving direct answers to direct questions during EVP sessions. In this way, the names of several ghosts have been recorded: Tuck was a servant; Barbara was a cook; Grace may have been mistress of the house at one point; there is also a spirit named Susan; several female ghosts have mentioned a man named Rev. Edward Crawford whose connection to the families that lived in the house is unclear, but turned out to be an actual historic character from 18th century Virginia.

The proprietor and staff are friendly and approachable, but prohibit any ghost hunting activity during business hours as it “spooks” the antique store’s regular customers.

They do offer a ghost hunting tour during the last weekend of each month, during which guests are encouraged to bring their own ghost hunting equipment. The tour includes a formal 15 minute EVP session, and the recorded audio is immediately reviewed with guests.

Ghost Farm of Kingsley

The Ghost Farm of Kingsley was old farm land just south of Traverse City MI. We purchased the land several years ago. A mother and daughter currently own the land and have first hand experiences with what seems to be spirits that make their presence known.

The land is marked with an Native American Trail Tree and on the south side of the property lies a mound that looks like a burial mound. One harsh winter night, the daughter turned to look down her newly built barn to see a man with a fierce expression on his face. He seemed angry before disappearing on her. He was garbed in what looked like colonial-times clothes and has since then been dubbed The Colonial. The next day after a very heavy snowfall and ice storm, the new barn roof fell in but none of the farm animals were hurt.

The daughter and mother duo have often come up to each other asking what the other wanted because they have heard their name called only to be left with puzzled expressions after being told that there names were not called by each other. One particular odd day of working on the farm had the daughter and mother giving up their work-as they had spent the whole day going back and forth to each other at opposite ends of the Farm after hearing their names called all day.

Soon thereafter, the Ghost Farm of Kingsley was suitably named and we now to a fundraiser for local children’s organizations. It consists of a haunted walk and trick-or-treat spooky walk. For more information, on the hauntings or the Haunted Events go to our Facebook.com/GhostFarm page.

One night while the daughter was setting up a fake gravestone at the Northern side of the farm, she thought she saw her sister walking up beside her. When she turned to ask what her sister thought of the construction on the haunted trail’s cemetery, a black shadow of a woman in a long dress floated by her, past the gravestones, and into the meadow with swirling fog.

There are many stories to tell, but the weeping specter near a car during the haunted walk with cries coming from beside a vehicle still leaves goosebumps for those that work on the Ghost Farm of Kingsley. When inspected closer, no sign of a live individual could be found anywhere by the several witnesses. The weeping and shadow near the car eventually subsided and the shadow of a person crouched down dissipated along with the weeping.

Old Town Pizza and Brewing

This restaurant sits on top of the Shanghai Tunnels in Portland OR where thousands disappeared. There was a lady that was a prostitute named Nina that was thrown down the elevator shaft and you can sit where the elevator used to be. There are places on the floor where you can see now sealed trap doors. People say they catch shadows, mist and objects in photos. The staff reports walking threw cold spots with pins and needles, taps on the shoulder, whispers in the ear, taps on picture frame that are repeated when addressed. The hanging stained glass in the elevator shaft where Nina passed has been known to sway when there is no breeze. They also report having cold water turned off so it’s only hot when both are on. Knocking on the door for the tours when there is no key for the door that leads to the tunnels. Bartenders have reported their hands being slowly pulled off taps when pouring. A server reported being chased up the stairs from the basement (former tunnels) on his first day. And a man in black suit from the 1880s has been seen walking up the stairs when the restaurant wasn’t open. Some of this is my own first hand accounts.

Carclew House

Now an art centre for youth and young adults the Carclew house has long been claimed to be haunted. In 1908 Langdon Bonython bought the house and gave it the Carclew name. It’s said that the resident spirit is that of Langdon Bonython’s wife… that he threw her out of the window at the top floor of the house, but the fall didnt kill her so he threw her out once more. Those who visit the art center have claimed to see, feel and hear the presence of a young girl especially on the top floor where she fell.

229 Rock Road

I used to work in an office on the 2nd story of 229 Rock Road, Glen Rock, NJ. We were an eclectic group of scientists and used to play practical jokes on each other. We also had a ghost we called the Phantom. Our front door was at the bottom of a long stairway from the street. When someone entered, you heard the door close, then the walking up the stairs before entering our office of the 2nd floor. At night, we would heard the street door open, the sound of steps and then silence – no one would come into the office and, when we went to the office door (made of glass), no one would be there. This was the “Phantom”. It got so bad that we would ignore the sounds UNTIL someone actually entered the office.

One Halloween in 1978, a buddy and I decided to wire the office with speakers to create a ghostly experience for our fellow scientists. We would hide on the fire escape outside the building to play ghostly sounds and watch our friends scurry around. All went well until late that night when we came out of hiding to laugh with our friends. They thought it was great but wondered how we created the Phantom opening the street door and coming up the stairs dragging chains! We hadn’t!!! That mellowed everyone out very quickly.

Being stupid young scientists (this happened in 1978), we decided to meet at the office at midnight and conduct a seance to get the real Phantom to appear. Bad BAD idea. After dinner, we met in the conference room at midnight, held hands and summoned the spirits (expecting nothing). After a few minutes, the room got incredibly cold and we all felt a dark doom, like we were going to die. We decided to end the test and go home. We turned off the lights, closed the conference room door, locked up the top glass door and exited at the street level (Rock Road) where we were locking the street door (also glass). As we looked up the stairs we saw a strange blue light in the office (all the lights were out) and wondered who left a light on. My buddy and I went up the stairs and saw that the blue-white light was pouring out from the cracks of the conference room through the closed door! Neither of us was brave enough to actually enter the office, so we all decided to climb up the back fire escape and look into the conference room through the windows. When we got up the fire escape, we got the scare of our lives. In the conference room, where we had been sitting for our seance, there was an extremely bright, glowing blue-white ball (the size of a basketball), floating around the table at chest height. It had a blue gassy surface and a blue mist around it.

We all literally jumped off the fire escape and ran for our cars. I was the last to leave and it was extremely spooky, with a slight wind, full moon and eerie silence. The next day, nothing was disturbed in the office but we were so traumatized that we soon moved to new offices. We never determined what that blue ball was.
