This delightful landmark hotel has been in operation for over a century, and has numerous ghost stories attached to its long and colourful past. The most significant is of former innkeeper Octavia Van Moorhem, who still keeps an eye on the establishment despite the fact that she passed away over one hundred years ago. Guests staying on the upper floor have heard disembodied footsteps, and have seen the apparition of a woman in an old-fashioned dress. Another report is that staff have heard the cries of a spectral infant coming from INSIDE the walls of the building, with no apparent source. Each room of the hotel has a journal for guests to record their ghostly experiences.
