This historic jail is no longer in operation, but is rumoured to be haunted. Visitors to the jail claim to have heard voices, felt cold spots and smelt new paint, despite the fact that the building was never renovated. Others claim to have seen a figure peering out of the barred windows of the cells, but upon investigation find the building completely empty.

hi! I was just wondering if you had any information on how I could contact the owner to view the place? thankyou!
You can contact ccso to view this building. An I have been in it an it is spooky
I served eight months there back in the early 90’s. I had multiple experiences along with other inmates. VERY unsettling and extremely scary. There was only four of us on one side (downstairs, women), there is a catwalk around the two cells except on one end. So, we’re all sleeping one night and I hear someone call my name, not loud, kind of right behind me. The hair on my neck stood up. I waited a few minutes, terrified, and finally started yelling at the other three women. By the sound of their voices, I had obviously woken them up yelling. Another incident, I was in the back cell this time. The catwalk wraps around this one, so you feel really exposed. I’m on top bunk chatting with an elderly lady on the bottom bunk one night. Things are quieting down and all of a sudden, it sounded like a car wrecked right behind me in the cat walk. I was in that bottom bunk, and had a hold of that elderly lady before I could scream her name. I had more experiences, but those had the most affect on me. You can claim this story has no evidence, but I’m telling you, my hand to Lord, that place is haunted and there is no telling by how many.
