A rumor has been going round that a bride fell off balcony in the 1960’s, employee’s say a woman in a white dress can be seen throughout the building but very rarely. The Upstairs kitchen that is located near the ballroom which is used for events is said to be haunted. Employee’s say they would hear pots and pans clinging and knocking sounds late at night and things will be in a different spot the next day. Whenever the furnace/Air conditioner kicks on in the utility room downstairs in bar kitchen, you can hear screaming in the far distance. Members at the golf club reported seeing apparitions in the locker room. You get a feeling of being watched when you’re alone in the kitchen and/or in locker room. Also you will hear someone knock on front door and no one will be there.

In the early 80s, an acquaintance was at Oakhurst Golf Club at night, stumbling around because he was stoned. He couldn’t see well and he fell into a water hazard and drowned. Knowing him, if ghosts are real, he’s one of them!
