This quaint 1912 hotel and restaurant features rooms named after local residents, and is rumoured to have several ghost stories associated with the building. Guests staying on the second floor claim to have heard footsteps on the roof, strange whispering voices and have felt a cold presence in their room.

I stayed here by myself one night while working in a nearby town. It was a week night and so there was one other young woman staying across from me. I saw the host show her the room and then they both had left. Later I kept hearing talking outside my door in the hallway and I thought the host had come back to talk to the woman. When asking her about it at breakfast the next morning she said that she had not been back until that morning. The young woman was also staying alone.
My father was staying here working, he was the ONLY one on the second floor, he was in his room and heard loud footsteps in the hallway, he then started taking a video then went into the hallway, then saw 2 dark shadows then something brush up against his shoulder, but there was nothing there. Spooky.
Not one ghost stories but something walks the halls. It’s a cool old hotel, the lady that operates it met me there for check in, and ask about what time I wanted breakfast. I’m a fairly early riser but didn’t want to put her out and ask when was normal or when the other guest requested. She indicated I was the only guest and we set it up for 7am. She gave me keys to both my room and the front door and requested I lock the front door before I retire to the room. I decided to give up watching tv around 10 pm, went down the old stairs to make sure my truck and the front door were locked and then went up to bed. Not sure what time after going to sleep I was awakened by heavy footsteps walking down the hall. The floors are wood and it sounded like cowboy boots. They walked from the front of the hall to the back. I was about to get back to sleep and the sound came again but a little louder but it almost sounded like spurs clanking on the floor as well.
Not sure about what or who it was but I never heard them on the stairs. If you do ever stay there, other than the cool building the first thing you will notice is the steep creaking stairs.
Other than that, slept the rest of the night and met the lady at 7 for a great breakfast.
