This is a long-disused “black cemetery” from the days of segregation. It dates back to the late 1880s. It was all but forgotten until recently when the Mount Dora Historical Society began cleaning up the area and identifying grave sites whose markers have long since disintegrated. They’ve begun marking graves so that proper respect can be paid, and a new green sign saying “Mount Carmel Simpson Cemetery” has been erected off the road to mark the spot.

We live one mile from there and we have a lot of sightings and paranormal experiences in the home and more so outside. I want to know more about the older original history
I live half a mile from here. Walk past it almost every day when it’s not too hot outside. Nothing has ever happened. A quiet lovely place just off the parking lot of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.
