In Building 1433 an eerie presence has been felt, and lieutenants may awaken with their beds soaked in river water. Shadows move in the halls and a burnt electrical smell occurrs on the 2nd floor. Electrical phenomena have been reported as well. They say the ghosts here are Confederate soldiers who drowned crossing the river, and they tend to haunt mostly those from the North or West U.S.; in other words, those who do not have Southern accents.

Without a doubt it’s haunted.
My parents stayed there at the billeting office as they were traveling at the old remodeled stable area. At 1 am in the morning there was a sound like hissing or water leaking. It was like high pressure, very loud. It lasted at least 5 minutes. It was very creepy and eerie. They called the office and the office just asked if they want to move rooms. They weren’t alarmed at all. Almost like it was expected.
