The abandoned Majestic Theater, which stood in a complex with the Poli Palce and the Savoy Hotel, was an ornate 1920s building with gilded moldings and crystal chandeliers. It closed in 1971. Shadowy figures and electronic voice phemonema have been witnessed here. Some say the complex was build on an ancient Native American burial ground, as artifacts were found during construction. Others speculate that the place is haunted by gangster Dutch Schultz, a Prohibition bootlegger who may have been responsible for two murders in the Savoy Hotel.
