Will Darrell once occupied this home until death from a horseback accident. His ghost, as well as a woman in blue have been reported. Perhaps one of the more stranger sightings is that of a midwife carrying a baby; they are thought to have died in a fire started by Darrell.

I went on a school trip about 1984/85, we were told that the woman in blue was the mother of the baby and the husband threw the baby into the fire in a fit of jealousy and the ghost of the woman is searching for her baby and the sound of crying is often heard. But since this has been turned into a Warner hotel, so have been unable to go there.
I to visited on a school trip. It was many years ago, but the spooky atmosphere that wrapped its self around you is something thats never left me. We were shown the room which had the fireplace where the baby was thrown into. I think its extreamly sad that the historic place is now a hotel.
