This tavern is believed to be the residence of a ghost named Irma, who died in a fire in this area during the 1700s. Since legend has it that the fire was started by a dropped candle, the ghost is known to blow out candles and perform other helpful tasks for the staff. Reports say that the employees here say good night to their beloved ghost every night upon closing the place.

I was going to the bathroom there and the lock of the door started to unlatch.
My nephew worked there a couple of years and he said that one night, while they were locking up the place, one of his coworkers came into the tavern and she said that her car had a flat tire. My nephew said he would change it for her as soon as he was done. Well, they went to her car about 25 minutes later and her tire had been changed. I know it sounds crazy, but his coworker took a picture of the flat tire to send to her dad. She had asked him to come and change it, but he never did as it had already been changed. Now, if this Irma ghost changed it, then she must be mechanically inclined. lol! Crazy!
