Susan Ingersoll, former owner and relative to Nathaniel Hawthorne, is still seen walking down the halls and peering out of the windows. The presence of a child has been reported in the attic, but is thought to be playful. Strange sounds are heard, objects move by themselves, and a chair rocks itself.
