The 1911 Hotel Rialto was originally Hotel Douglas up until December 2007. A mysterious knocking sound comes from the door to the basement, set in an area where only employees can reach it. According to reports, the ghostly knocking has come about because the basement was once used as a morgue.

Hi There:
I stayed in the hotel on 22nd March 2019. I checked in room # 404 and that night when I was going to sleep, my light in the washroom turned off on its own, I checked the switch and it was off. It was quite creepy. I didn’t know about this hotel being haunted but when I asked the service guy he didn’t answer but smiled at me, I searched on Google and found out that this hotel is one of the haited places in Victoria. Quite an experience.
The downstairs women’s washroom has an energy – it has flushed toilets and made noises -banging sounds
