The 1884 hotel was damaged by fire, causing the death of several guests and employees. Current visitors to the building have seen their spirits going about their business as usual, despite the fact that they perished almost a century ago.

I live in the denison hotel and it’s creepy at night
do you still live there
So I’m laying awake tonight thinking about this building and I was talking about my experiences there and I want to share them this building radiates one of the most uncomfortable feelings ever from the second you walk in you feel drained and instantly like someone is always watching you just close enough that if you turned they would be there you speed walk through the time capsule of a lobby to get to the broom closet size elevator and you feel something is right behind you still you hope the doors shut soon and press your floor and slowly it opens on the 3rd floor even though you didnt choose it you get the feeling something is about to run at you and the doors feel like they take an eternity to close again you finally get to your floor and you peek down the hallway to make sure noone is there because you feel them and no one is you run to your door and get a sense of safety until you hear banging on your door but no one is there randomly through the night then you hear what sounds like walking on your walls ….. to add to this they have a few disabled people who live there at lower costs because of the city and they laugh so loud in the halls god forbid you have to wash your laundry and the ballroom is open you see a darkness like nothing else just hear drops of water echoing out of the room reminding you you aren’t in the year you were in when you entered the building when you get in the laundry room past the ballroom the walls are falling apart and the florescent bulb is flickering the whole time and all while you feel like someone is right behind you so close you can feel breath …… legit this fucking place felt like silent hill 4 the room I truly hope the renovations they are doing will help take care of the terrible feelings that place had I wanted to share it because I was talking about my experience and I see someone else had the same kind of experience lol
Lived in Denison for 25+ years. My friends and I used to sneak out at night and run around Main Street. I’ll never forget that one night my bros and I were raising hell and one of them when we were walking by that hotel just turned pale and pointed up at a window and I swear to this day there was a REALLY pale woman that looked like she had black beady eyes staring down at us. Just watching like a statue. Didn’t move, didn’t make any gestures at us she didn’t even blink. The kicker? It was 3:30ish in the morning. Yeah we broke curfew we were teens but dang I’ll never forget this one. Never been in here and after that I’m not sure if I want to. That was just downright CREEPY
