This Home Depot is rumored to be haunted by a ghost employees call Fred. Actually, according to a report, the ghost is a craftsman named Herbert who passed away at age 74 in his workshop. He was cremated, and his ashes were let go in the outdoor garden section of Home Depot, to let him rest in peace in the store that he loved. Witnesses have seen apparitions in this section.

  1. It was the old store next to Brodie Lane. Before Home Depot was open 24 hrs. I was helping a friend pack out Outside Garden late at night, I thought my friend kept trying to distract me when I was on the forklift. I saw someone watching me, I got upset and stopped working. We were leaving and I asked her why she was distracting me, she didn’t know what I was talking about and swore it wasn’t her. She had been working in the greenhouse.
Another time a lady was shopping in outside garden by the metal green edging rack, and saw a man standing there. He turned and walked into the wall. She started screaming and said she was never going to shop there again.
After the store was open 24hrs, no-one wanted to work the overnight shift in outside garden. So an asst. manager and dept. head were trying to figure out who could work. The store manager heard no-one wanted to work because of the ghost outside, and after asking other employees if there was a ghost, he wrote Fred on an apron and hung it in the office. That’s where the name Fred came from.

  2. The home depot on airport has moved. But there is a graveyard literally right behind it. The delivery drivers at night would see and orbs while waiting for the loading dock door to open.
There is a constant feeling of someone behind you in the receiving room as well. So much to where you turn around expecting someone there but there isnt

  3. My husband and I both had an experience in the Home Depot in Hutto, TX. We were walking through the store holding hands, felt the breath of someone on our necks then we heard a deep voice that was similar to a growl. I would have thought i imagined it but when I looked at my husband and said did you hear that, he said YES. It was a very freighting experience.
