Heritage Inn has a ghost called Charlie who plays tricks on the living. Some storytellers claim Charlie was a guest who died in a fire here in 1979. Others say he’s a man who had a heart-attack in Room 125 in the late 1980s. His body was discovered in the tub, and rumor has it that shortly after that, one guest was awakened multiple times to hear someone splashing in her bathroom. Each time she checked, no one was there and the tub was dry. Some reports say that a lot of unexplained activity happens in Room 209, though the reason for this is unknown. Throughout the hotel, Charlie has been known to move things, make footsteps, make noises and play other harmless tricks to make sure people are aware of his existence.

My mom use to be a housekeeper here. When she would be at work her house keeping cart would move down the hall on its own. Thinking it may have been people pushing it around she actually watched it go from sitting still to being moved 2 rooms down. She said it was never a creepy feeling to have Charlie around but she said he was a pest, always moving things around on them and just being funny.
My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. The owner has left us by ourselves in the hotel. No one else here.
My boyfriend won’t even go downstairs to get himself some water. LOL
It’s a beautiful hotel.
