Grave of Red Eagle

You are here Home  > Cemeteries >  Grave of Red Eagle

Ghost websites will tell you that this gravesite is haunted by the ghost of Red Eagle and if you go out late at night you’ll see the spirit doing an Indian dance on his own grave. Yes, because that makes perfect sense. I mean everyone knows them injun fellers is dancing fools, even to the point of literally dancing on their own grave. This reported haunting is about as stereotypically offensive as is possible to be, unless the legend grows in time to add some war whoops to the tale.

  1. My husband and i stayed at little river camp grounds, where he was woke up by a lady in a victorian dress yelling fire. He is not one to believe in ghost but it scared him enough to get me up. Then a strong smell of smoke engulfed our cabin.

  2. The lengend is not true nor validated me and my group of paranormal investigators was out there with our equipment and didn’t catch mutch but a few orbs and a few voices. This place is haunted yes but we have concluded the legend is untrue. 3. A few years back my family had some friends come in from out of town and we thought we would take them to the gravesite. It was a minister and his family and they have never believed in ghosts. As we started to turn on to the road leading in there was a Indian standing next to the sign shaking something in his hand. He was not wearing a shirt only something around his waist. Every single person in the vehicle saw him. The minister thought it was a tour guide until we explained to him they didn’t have tour guides there. We did turn the car around real fast but the Indian vanished into thin air. It was a very chilling experience.
