Remnants from a 1690 raid of French-Canadian and Indian invaders are said to haunt Front Street Park and the entire Stockade Historic District. Most of the town’s residents, families of the Dutch merchants and fur traders who settled here in 1661, were massacred in the attack.

I was walking through the park in the late evening (8 pm ish) and heard a splashing coming from the pool. The pool was closed and there was no one in their. However, this was a while back and a week after a girl drowned in the pool. It was definitely a large splashing/thrashing noise. Very spooky.
the stockade area was paved in brick and was a busy area. lots of sun shine and you can easily transport back in time by walking through the streets
you feel very grounded by walking near the river bank. way too many people have been there to pin ppoint an exact time, but the stockade, thats another story
Myself and my husband currently live on front st, we don’t believe in ghost.
but we was in our basement, to be funny we recorded it and started talking
in the background you could hear a indian like sound
I grew up on College St. until 16yrs. old then moved to Scotia out of us 13 children not one of us ever saw anything close to a ghost and we used to go all around the area looking even in the cemetery between Union St. and Green St. but still a beautiful area.
