Built in 1929 by former Nebraska governor Keith Neville, the former Fox Theatre is now the Neville Center for the Performing Arts. Witnesses say that in the balcony lighting booth, a spirit causes sudden temperature drops and sometimes touches their hands.

I walked past the theatre when staying here for a night with my dad, and I knew something was not right. THat’s rare for me, usually I am blind when it comes to hauntings, unless previously told. I felt the whole walk from our Motel to the restaurant that there were things around us. I walked back to the theatre myself, just to see if the rumors were true. I saw no orbs or faces in the windows that I could make out, but something whispered. I looked around but the area was completely deserted. I left it saying “Okay I’m leaving” loudly but something wasn’t done with me. I quoted the lords prayer on the way home, which either calmed me or kept whatever I pissed off away, I didn’t care. I’m not leaving the room again til dawn!
I used to live in this town. I have been to the theater many times. I have never experienced anything haunting. The Pawnee Hotel across the street is creepier than the Fox Theater in my opinion.
