Many strange things can be said about this location of Embassy Suites. According to witnesses, lights turn on and off at will, doors come flying open by themselves, and during a period of construction when the electricity was disconnected, lights came on during the night. In addition, the golf course has spots where grass won’t grow and unexplained moaning or wailing has been heard by golfers on the course.

  1. In 1990, I moved into a neighborhood near the Embassy Suites and drove past it all the time before it opened. I remember when the construction stopped half way through and it sat empty for a few years. During the time it was empty I frequently saw lights on inside on the upper floors, sometimes whole floors were lit up. The place was clearly abandoned and only half finished so this seemed weird and I couldn’t figure out why. My kids and I called it “the spooky house” but we were just joking. It never occurred to me at the time their WASN’T a logical explanation. It was a brand new building after all, glad I didn’t know that our nickname “the spooky house” was true.

  2. i worked at the embassy suites during construction i find it odd that in the stories none mentions the fact i saw it happen that one of the workers fell to his death one saturday morning waiting for the boss to arrive me and a coworker witnessed a man fall from the top of them building into the courtyard from ten stories . i would think that would make a mention if the phantom lights do why not the worker who died?

  3. My family and I stayed here last night. I’ve stayed here many times and never had an experience until last night.

I woke up around 1:30 am and when I rolled over to go back to sleep, I noticed a tall dark shadow at the end of our bed with his head turned to the side as if he was watching my husband and I sleep. I immediately closed my eyes and reopened them thinking I was just seeing something hanging funny in the room and the shadow went away. However, not a second later and the shadow was back. I started to pray in my head and the shadow immediately moved from the right side of the bed where my husband was sleeping to the left side of the bed where I was sleeping before vanishing.

I immediately woke up my husband and he asked if I turned off our daughter’s baby monitor. I’ve never slept walked and we would never turn off the monitor in the middle of the night. It also stays plugged in throughout the night so the battery doesn’t die.

I’m not exactly sure what I saw, but it was definitely unexplainable.
