  1. I can’t attest to the Motel part of this story, but the bar next door (as pictured above) is also “the El Rancho” The building (only the bar) was purchased in 2014 by a local family. I worked for this family previously at another bar they owned. In turn I also worked at the El Rancho building, the rumors of the ghost, nicknamed “Eddie” were well known. Anything weird that happened, we would laugh and blame Eddie. Now there were odd things that would happen, Cold spots, slamming of the basement door, feelings of being watched, pots and pans clanging in the kitchen, and once the feeling of hands on my waist while carrying beer upstairs from the basement while closing. I honestly feel he never meant any harm, there was never any heavy or bad feeling, just something there. Unfortunately there was a fire back in the kitchen and there is now an empty lot where the bar used to be. I will never forget the odd feeling that night on those basement steps….
