Went on a ghost hunt here. Didn’t see anything, but noticed what smelled like a sweet perfume. That’s really strange bc the place is old, musty and overrun with stray cats. The folks I was with believe the smell may have been from Dr Drish’s daughter, who had been locked up and starved in the house at one time. I don’t know. I just smelled something sweet amongst the smell of rotting house.
I was driving on 359 home to Birmingham. We had already moved back to Birmingham at that point, but that day was my last shift at the Tuscaloosa location of my job. As I was driving home I was on the phone with my husband be noticed that the tower of Drish House was on fire. I told him, “oh gosh, that beautiful old house will be ashes next time we see it.”
A few months later, we returned and it was being renovated on the ground level with absolutely no evidence anything had ever burned. I couldn’t understand it. Not at least until now! Lol. I guess I saw the supernatural that day.
