
It is reported that late at night, the rattling of keys and footsteps can be heard going up the stairs to the second floor. The ghost in residence is said to be a former sheriff who was murdered at his home.

That would be Sheriff Ben “Doc” Murray. I used to work for him as a part time week end dispatcher before he sponsored me to go to the Regional Law Enforcement Academy in Uvalde. He was murdered in his own home and brutally mutilated as well.
