Dead Man’s Trail is the site of a legend of a young Native American woman whose baby was carried away by the rushing river and over the falls to the rocks below. She cursed the river, saying it had stolen the tribe’s future chief. Visitors to the park have seen the woman’s apparition or heard her crying.

I was walking down the trail and I heard a girl crying, and at the time, I didn’t even know if the place was haunted. Then the girls moaning stopped and then I heard a shriek and I went sprinting out of the place.
A week later, I brought 8 cameras and I decided to start investigating locations. About a year has passed, and my investigation of the dead man’s trail is blowing up on the internet! It was a life changing experience…
i was at this old tribal college looking at the camera’s and it was at the way back of the college i heard some people saying that there’s noises going on back there and then i go and look at the camera’s then i’m looking through the camera’s then i see a black figure walk by then the camera went from clear to unfocused then back to clear again then it was gone
Who do we contact
The directions for the trail are wrong. The “Dead Man’s Trail” is the section of the River-Walk out by Northland College. It starts at the spot right across the river on 8th Street where that big “N” is (there’s a free parking lot right next to it). There’s River-Walk markers near that spot, and the trail leads back into the woods.
I believe you are correct. They talk about a cave filled with rocks. Many years ago, my husband and I were out there, and I found the cave. The cave is really low to the ground, but was filled completely with rocks. You can no longer see the cave, as it overgrown with weeds, but I know where it is.
Interesting I live close by and never knew this.
