The theater at the end of this pier (The Pavillion Theatre) is said to be haunted by Irish impressario, Dick Condon; some performers have claimed to see his spirit on the stage while shows are performed. Poltergeist activity and a man with a tall black hat have also been reported, as well as laughter and singing from empty spaces. The pier itself is said to be haunted by figures ranging from the Medieval era to former lifeboatmen.
